Happy Birth Day, Dwyer!

Dwyer Nathaniel was born on 8-20-08 at 4:04am. He weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz. and 19 1/4 inches long. He decided to come early and send Dad on a mad dash back home from work. Dad missed the birth but Mom had her good friend, Steph and mother-in-law for support. Abby was being taken care of by the sitter's so all went smooth.

We came home on Thursday and been trying to recover. Luckily we have had some great help from the grandparents and friends. With Dwyer coming three weeks and two days early the only complication has been jaundice. He is currently on the phototherapy blanket to help him break down his high bilirubin levels. I don't like him being stuck every day to check his levels but it is better than him being in the hospital. He weighed the same as Abby when she was born and man I forgot how tiny they are at first.

Abby has done really well with her brother. When he cried during a diaper change she tells me not to hurt him. She likes to hold him but be ready to catch him when she is done. She also likes to push him in the swing.
