Fun in May
We have had an eventful time since Dad was home. I don't even know where to begin. Dad found some morel mushrooms the first Friday he was home. Abby and I went walking in the woods with him. On the way back, Abby found some lovely puddles. I was only able to get her back home by showing her another puddle closer to the house.
That weekend we went and found Abby some new furniture. A set of bunk beds. The bottom bunk comes out as a T to the top bunk and they are shelves and a desk as part of the bottom. Hopefully it will get here the next time Dad is home. Then we will be moving bedrooms for the new baby and us. Abby will have the same room just new furniture. On Mother's day we did some shopping at Walmart and got me some Arby's (yum).
Monday and Tuesday, Dad had very bad days. On Monday both tractors broke down and had to tow one out with his truck. He was hoping to mow the lawn and his weed eater was acting up as well. On Tuesday, Dad went to put a jug line in the pond in the morning. A milk gallon with eight foot of rope and a triple hook on the end with chicken liver. When he went out of the house an hour or so later he saw the dog, Yukon with a rope and jug attached to it coming out of her mouth. He tried to get her but she wouldn't come to him. When Dad went to go back inside, Yukon ran in. He was able to get the rope cut but the hook had her tongue wrapped up. He called the local vet and said, "My dog's name is Yukon. I think my wife brings her here. Is this the right place?" Good thing we live in a small town. It was the right place. So he got Yukon in the truck, bleeding and slobbering only to find his truck was dead. He got the battery charger but that was taking too long so decided to jump the truck with one of the tractors. The tractor decided to spit oil everywhere but he managed to get it going. He hooked up both cables and jumped it only to find out through electrocution that Yukon had chewed on the jumper cables. He finally got Yukon to the vet and the call I got was. "I want a new tractor." After hearing the story I said OK go look at tractors. Yukon is doing better with no hook in her mouth (the vet said it wasn't a good idea to feed her fish bait HA HA) and Dad has a new tractor.
That night Abby decided to add to the end of the bad day by throwing up all over me, the floor and in the oven as I was putting the last batch of cookies in the oven. I called Dad in to clean up the kitchen while I cleaned Abby and myself up. Later that evening I was complimenting Dad on the clean up and not throwing up himself. He said he has a hard time still when I throw up every morning due to pregnancy and Abby started imitating me by gagging. Dad tried to get her to stop but that just egged her on. She had him going for sometime. It was quite comical to watch. What a day!!
The next weekend we went to the Nature Center and Dad left on Tuesday. Abby is doing better at sleeping in her big girl bed. I imagine it will be another adjustment when the bunks come. I reached 24 weeks of pregnancy on Friday. Abby and I went to a garage sale on Friday and hope to go visit Steph on Monday. Hopefully we can take the train there. Hope everyone enjoys Memorial day!!

Yes, it was a couple of rough days and that little one is a pest. She still does that when she wants to get my attention now.
Have a fun weekend and stay out of trouble,
Dad
Oh dear... so sorry, Matt, about your horrible, rotten, no good, lousy day. Ugh. Probably felt like it would never end. Love the pictures of Abby after playing in the mud. ;)
I hope that's one of those days that is funny later... perhaps much, much later ;) Love the pictures. Have a great summer!
Um, that is from Julie, not sure why it says Bonzi...lol
