It's a Boy

I went to the ultrasound yesterday and Abby is going to be a big sister of a little brother. Yeah!!
This last week, Abby's allergies ended up being a cold that turned into a couple of ear infections. She was nice enough to pass the infection on to me and I got a nice sinus infection. We are feeling better but taking it easy this weekend to recover from the stress of being sick for a week.
I had to travel out of town last week to add on top of it all.
The first picture is Abby taking a bath in the dog's water bowl. I was just glad she was crying and whining from her ear infection so I let her. Kept my sanity a little.

We went camping (in a cabin) last week with the family that watches Abby. Luckily we were in a cabin. It ended up being in the 30s and 40s. Too cold to go on the boat with a little one. Dad went back to work on Tuesday and Abby started getting sick on Wednesday. I took her to the doctor's on Thursday. He said her ears were fine and she might have some allergies. I would believe they were only allergies if all the kids at the sitter's didn't have it first and now I have it. I guess it just needs to run its course.
Abby was quite fussy today. She tried my patience alot. The worst was getting her head through the balcony railing and trying to squeeze her whole body through. Also the cup of water she threw at me during bathtime.
Tonight she is trying out her crib without a railing. So far no falling off the bed but we have padding down just in case.
Abby has been going out every chance she gets. But I tell her stay on the porch and she says "on da porch." My other favorite saying is her "Thanks, momma." She uses it all the time and I love it. When Charles took apart her crib I even got her to say "Thanks, Char Char." Her other favorite is "Up peas (up please)." Even with her polite sayings, she still has a temper and loves the word "no".

Cardinal's Day

We have enjoyed having Dad home again. Abby and I managed to get over our cold just before he came home. We had a beautiful weekend.
Abby and I got some grocery shopping done Saturday morning and then took a nap. We then played outside most of the afternoon. Muranda and the boys came over to go fishing. Dad even got the boat and trolling motor out. He took us out on the pond a couple time. Abby liked sticking her hands in the water. I'm sure she would have jumped right in if I wouldn't have held on. She also liked it when Dad rocked the boat "Rockarocka." Tobi (who is 4) wasn't impressed and thought the fish in the pond were rocking the boat. We played on the swings and all over the yard and even took a 4 wheeler ride.
Sunday we got up and went to the Cardinal's game. What a beautiful day. It was in the high 60's and the Cardinal's won. Abby loved Fredbird and liked the dog on top of the wagon that the Clydedale horses pulled around the field.
I still have my laundry and some household chores to do this week but we were having too much fun outside.
