July happenings
We have enjoyed Dad being home for the 4th of July and all the birthdays. Our 3rd and 4th had parties with family and friends. Abby and Dwyer got to see their cousins from Texas on the 3rd and 4th with friends. We had a party planned for Abby on her birthday but she ended up getting sick on her birthday. Poor kid. She had a fever and had thrown up the night before. We waited until her fever broke and just enjoyed presents and cake without company. Sorry to those who wanted to come celebrate with us. After I got it this last week, I'm glad we didn't try to spread the disease anymore. It kicked my butt. I know now why they say to take it easy when you are sick. It felt like I pulled every muscle in my arms and legs. I couldn't even write my name where I could recgonize it.
As Abby turns three she had entered the world of WHY. Here is an example on the way back from the store driving:
Abby - Can we pick those flowers?
Mom - No.
Why?
I am driving.
Why?
I want to get home.
Why?
So we can eat lunch.
Why?
Because.....
And a story from Dwyer:
My attempt to potty train Abby while at the mall. While trying to pull up Abby's pants. Dwyer (who just learned how to flush the toilet) gets behind me and flushes the toilet than proceeds to put his arm elbow deep in the toilet and swirl it around. I was in shock. All I could do was laugh and make sure I washed his arms as we left the bathroom. (Abby had not went to the bathroom but still grossed me out)
