The Life of Abby

Dwyer is five weeks old. I can't believe he is getting bigger. I weighed him at 9 lbs today. Abby and her dad at the zoo. You also can see Abby in her halloween costume. She is a Winnie the Pooh Super Sleuth. We went to the Disney store which Abby loved.

The last couple weeks

We went to the zoo again. Only a different one. Dad thought it would be a good idea to get Abby a sundae. You can see how it turned out. They can definitely be a handful. Dad went back to work this week. We have managed but are looking forward to seeing my parents this weekend.

Here are some of the latest pictures of the family. We are doing good. Dwyer is only waking up 2 or 3 times a night now. He is getting more active and even upset at times when his stomach is off.

The Zoo

We went to the St. Louis Zoo on Friday and lots of fun. We wish would have known they started their winter hours and we would have went earlier. Abby liked the guinea pigs and wanted to see an elephant really bad. She also enjoyed the carosuel. Dwyer slept the whole time. It was a cloudy day in the 60s so a lot of the animals were active. My most memorable moment was the female lion roaring at Dad. I thought she was going to jump out of her cage at us. Abby jumped as she was in Dad's arms when it happened.

Dwyer's 2 weeks old

It is so strange getting things in the mail telling you what to take to the hospital when you have your baby and he is already here. Abby asks to hold Dwyer every day. And when he cries she says, "Momma's got you." She likes the pacifier but luckily Dwyer doesn't so they aren't laying around for her to pick up all the time.
Abby got a new tricycle. It is a little big for her but we know she'll grow into it. We went with John Deere. We needed something besides plastic tires so she could get around on the gravel. Dwyer is getting more lively. He's pretty content for the most part but is starting to let you know when he wants attention too.
We got to go up and see the great grandparents and cousins this weekend. Abby played and played. Dad and I got to experience the crying of two kids in the backseat feeding off of one another on the way home. Probably just a glimpse of what is to come. Dwyer's jaudice has cleared up. Hopefully when he goes for his 2 week doctor visit tomorrow they won't need to stick him again.
