The Life of Abby

Here is Abby up on our computer desk. She wanted in the computer chair and then proceeded to crawl up onto the desk.

We had a little of a rough day today. We had a little break down in Walmart because Abby didn't get what she wanted off the shelf. I left only getting half of my shopping done. I knew these days would come. We made it to the library before Walmart so we got some new books.

Abby always has such a good time in the bath. The top picture is her trying out the new shower for the first time. I think she likes it. The bottom picture is her straining. It's not just a cheesy but actually got her flexing all her face muscles. We went to a co worker's garage sale this morning. We made out great. $15 later with over 50 pieces of clothing for Abby I didn't think we did too bad. We even got a Cardinal's shirt. Dad will be so proud. We also made a trip to Sam's club for diapers and got tons of other things too. We played outside a couple times. I had to coax her back into night as the sun had set and was having a hard time seeing in the dark. I survived the night away from Abby. I gave her some extra love but she had missed her afternoon nap so we took a nap together after work and then stayed up a little late.

Abby and I are back on our own today. Dad did a good job with helping Caleb finish the basement. It looks really nice. The first day of fall was still in the 90s but we actually dropped to the 70s today. We also got some rain. Abby enjoyed standing out in the rain and got drenched. She also got to try out the new shower on the 1st floor and loves it even though she slipped a couple times. I guess she hasn't figured out she shouldn't jump in there. This week I have to do an overnight visit for work. It will be the first night I leave my baby. I hope I am not a bubbling mess. We went to a parent/child program this weekend about dance and then hit the town fall festival. They were fun but exhausting at the same time. Abby was hiding from me in the picture. She sure got a kick out of it.

Abby had a high fever last Thursday of 103. I took her to the doctor's on Friday. She had two ear infections. That would explain why she didn't want to lay down for a nap. Poor kid. The antibiotics seem to help and she is back to her normal self. We had Murand and family over to camp this weekend. We had a lot of fun. Did some fishing, 4 wheeling and playing games. The top picture of Abby trying to get her sock off. She is not a fan of socks, at least the ones on her feet. We have enjoyed having Dad home. She was laughing at him at dinner tonight. It got all of us laughing. We are working on being nice and not hitting. That is fun. She is getting good and helping with cleaning up so that is good and long as you can get her to stop from dumping everything out again.

Dad arrived home last week and we have busy since. He is busy working on the basement. We had the grandparents down this weekend and Abby and I went to a wedding. Busy at work and busy at home. It has finally cooled off to the 80s during the day. It is really nice out. Abby loves her bike but never goes anywhere on it. She just gets on and off and beeps the horn.

While I was folding laundry today thought I would make Abby a fort. She loved it. In and out. In and out. We made it to the pool and ran into our friends there. Then we stopped by Steph's and came home. This evening Abby got into the kiddie pool fully dressed. Saggy diaper and all. She doesn't mind if the water is warm or cold. I brought her inside and gave her a bubble bath. She decided to go to bed early tonight. I can't imagine that I actually wore her out. Well I'm worn out too. I guess it's back to work tomorrow.

Abby and I got some errands ran. We went to the pet store and looked at the bunnies, ferrets, mice, birds and fish. Then once she started pulling at all the tags on the products it was time to go. We ran to the grocery store and came home. We both got a good afternoon nap which Abby insisted on sleeping with her bat. Oh well. We then played outside in the kiddie pool while I rinsed off the car and enjoyed the swing and slide. Hopefully we go swimming tomorrow.
