Abby and I are doing good. Not much going on here. We had company yesterday and that was fun.

Got this cute picture of Abby and I at the zoo. Abby is starting to get daring. She will stand up in the middle of the room and try to take a couple steps. She is always excited when she does. We went to the store yesterday and for a walk. Not much else happened on our big three day weekend. She is getting to where she doesn't like baby food as much. She wants to eat what you have. I can't blame her. She sure likes meatballs. I tried to sneak in some green beans but she pulled those back out of her mouth. Peas are good though.

Yesterday Abby and I ran some errands and then went to the zoo with some friends. It was great. Abby looked at the bears, penguins and fish and the rest she didn't look at. They had a baby elephant and it was cute to watch move around. We stopped at the grocery store on the way home. We did a lot of walking and so Abby and I took it easy today at the house. She took a two and half hour nap this morning and then skipped the afternoon nap. Is this a new trend? We'll see. We'll probably head to Sam's Club tomorrow. We were glad we didn't get rained out at the zoo.

SHE'S WALKING!!! I thought it was a fluke yesterday when she took a couple steps to me yesterday and a couple with Dad last week but this morning at the sitter's it was a good 5 steps to the toys. Well the past couple weeks with Dad have flown by. Abby's uncle was home too. We took the adventure of going camping. Not as relaxing as I should have known with a little one. Don't eat. Don't eat was repeated many times. I caught her trying to eat a tick yesterday. Yuck. She had fun on the boat and loved it when we went fast. She also enjoyed the beach. She probably will be pooping some sand for awhile. Sleeping while camping was hard on Abby. She got scared in the pack and play so we pulled her into bed with us on the air mattress but she woke up crying every time one of us moved. We ended up sleeping in the van.
Abby has started imitating faces and it is pretty entertaining. She loved the attention from Dad and her uncle. She still loves to laugh as well.

Today I had the day off. Abby and I hung out this morning and then I dropped her off at the sitter's so I could go shopping for a couple hours. I am all stocked up with food now. I tried to get Abby to walk today but she hopped instead and then sat down. I don't think that counts. She also figured out the trash can lid. Great!! Eating is getting messier and messier. Got to love it when she rubs it all in her hair. Looks like we'll be okay and won't flood out.

Today Abby was a little fussy at the sitters. She didn't take a full afternoon nap. We had some supper and then took the pup for a walk. Yukon enjoyed getting in the pond and Abby enjoyed talking to me and pulling my hair from the backpack carrier. We have been given warning about possible flooding. Hopefully everything will be okay. I was trying to coax Abby into walking. I stand her up and then try to get her to take the first step. She stands there and then just leans forward until she reaches me. She is cheating at this game. I guess she is waiting for Dad.

We have had a busy week. Abby and I had a girl's night out with some friends. Yesterday we went to the library at the Cinco de Mayo celebration. It was a lot of fun for the little kids. It was pretty warm outside and great weather compared to the rain, rain, and more rain we have been having. Abby has taken a likely to eating all her books. I beginning to think she might be missing something in her diet. Hee hee. I think she will be ready to walk when Dad gets home next week. We broke the mirror in the bathroom this morning. That was a fun one to clean up but luckily no one got hurt. We went for a walk this morning in the woods. I've gotten three ticks off me so far. Sounds like fun huh?
