The Life of Abby

Here is how Abby plays with the ashes in the fireplace. We went shopping at Sam's Club and Walmart yesterday and took a swim at the Y. Also played in the grass today. Abby won't let me write much else. On we go.

Thanks for the baby proofing tips Dad! Abby was playing with the blinds on the windows. I pulled them up and that just made her stand up and play with them. I pulled them up further to let her play on the windows instead. We have all the plug ins filled but I found out that the night lights seem really interesting to her. She can pull them out if she wants. Guess we won't be seeing in the dark anymore. She has been trying some big people food. Yesterday she had fish, avocadoes, and a popsicle and today she had green beans, mashed potatoes, yogurt and chicken. She does enjoy it.

Well the latest on Abby is that she ate a moth. I looked down and saw her eating something. I pulled out a moth and it was still alive. Crazy kid. I didn't even know it was in the house. She is fascinated with the dog bowls. Luckily they are in the bathroom and can shut the door if I need to. Abby is over her cold and since I got it I am getting better too. She keeps me busy. We've been having some spring weather and it has been fun letting Abby experience dirt and leaves. All goes in the mouth as well. She doesn't want to be held as much since she became mobile. Guess that is how it goes.

Abby has figured out how to get up on her knees and reach for things. So let's tug on the plastic in all the trash cans. Silly kid. It looks like she was caught red handed. At least I am able to catch her now. I know there will be a time when I won't be so lucky. She is getting over her cold. She still has a cough but is feeling a lot better.

Abby is just getting around. She is practicing on the crawling, eating dirt of the floor, standing, and falling. She got another cold. We figure another tooth will probably pop up. Luckily she has still been getting enough sleep at night. We had a couple up and down spells last night but she finally went to sleep at 11pm. Yukon is trying to play catch with Abby since I won't throw her ball. Pretty funny to see Abby excited to be included.

Watch out Dad! Abby crawled over to the fireplace and pulled herself up. Are we getting ready to walk or what? We played with Yukon outside, went to the post office and checked out the Y. We are back at home played. Abby is done being on the computer. Better go.

Abby went to the doctor's again yesterday. Her thrush and yeast infection haven't cleared up. She was given something stronger. Hope it helps get rid of it so we can work on getting her immune system back up. She has been putting that butt up in the air and sitting all over the place. Up and down. She has also taken a liking to cords. Aaugghh. But you can tell when something catches her eye so if you are watching you can stop her. She's still a good kid though.

Today started off bumpy. Abby threw up this morning. Wandering if she might have a problem with the formula. She acted happy right after doing it. I gave her a bath and then we went downstairs to play. Abby had herself propped up on the cushion behind her and let go. She fell and bonked her head. Then later on she fell on her face. Poor kid. She is taken her second nap now. Hopefully that will help.

It's been a little bit since we've had a blog. We were busy celebrating Mom's promotion at her job. Abby is getting over her cold just fine. It is the yeast infections that we hope clear up this weekend so we don't have to go back to the doctor's for something stronger. Abby has started to say "bababa" so we add that to "dadada". She can't decide if she wants to crawl. She takes a few steps on her knees and then is back to scooting on her belly and pulling with the arms. She gets around to where she wants. She is also learning the word "no". She also has started to notice detail like buttons and specks of dirt on the floor. AAAUGGHH. Well she has already had a taste of dirt and rocks is that good for the immune system or what.
