The Life of Abby

Saturday, February 24, 2007

Abby is feeling much better today. She has a cold, thrush and a yeast infection in her diaper area. Poor thing. We go through periods of being happy and sad. We went shopping today to look for shoes but ended up buying books for the little one. It rained all day today. I got my tires rebalanced after trying to go for a joy ride in the van and got stuck in the mud. Chalk it up to the adventures of me living in the woods.

I know I haven't updated the blog in awhile. Abby and I went to Seattle to see Aunt Pamela, Uncle Rob & cousin Oscar alond with Great Auntie Dode and Great grandma Russell. Grandma showed up from Alaska as a surprise. We also got to see Marilyn & Butch, June & Dudley and Alice. What a family reunion. Abby did pretty good on the airplane. She had a crying bit for about 15 minutes on the way back but then fell asleep.
Abby is sitting up on her own now and can get back down without bonking her head. That was hard for me to watch her learn. Abby seems to be losing her voice so I am going to take her to the doctor's tomorrow to make sure it isn't anything serious. Poor thing tries to whine and nothing comes out. We enjoyed a hockey game while Dad was home. Abby got upset when Dad yelled because of the first goal. Big crocodile tears and everything. Other than that she seemed to enjoy all the excitement but didn't make it thru the whole game before falling asleep in Dad's arms.

Abby is doing good today. She doesn't seem to be bothered from her shots yesterday. She woke up at 4 am but ate and slept in until almost 8 am. We went for a walk with Yukon this morning. It is sunny and below 20. Kind of cold for me. We will be watching the Superbowl tomorrow and maybe even get out to the library today. Maybe we'll get motivated.

We got to get Abby's pictures done today and then she had her shots. She did really good. She is screaming in the background now but just to hear herself talk. Crazy kid. She is moving right along. The doctor said it is time to babyproof the house. I believe it. She got two more teeth yesterday. That makes 6. Ok the screaming as went to crying time to go.
